Lazy Sunday...
There is nothing better than catching up on magazines on a lazy Sunday and that is just what the doctor ordered today. I have been working so much lately that my magazines have gone unread and to be honest the pile is starting to get embarrassing. With the weather starting to turn here in Los Angeles and visions of pieces that need to make their way into my spring wardrobe I cracked open my pile of magazines for inspiration. Sifting through the pages and sipping on my current favorite iced coffee from Starbucks made for the perfect afternoon. I definitely found some inspiration for spring including a pair of Sigerson Morrison sandals, peep toe booties from Edmundo Castillo for Tommy Hilfiger and perfect summer recipes of Macadamia nut crusted chicken and pineapple mango salsa. Now I'm gearing up for the Grammy red carpet fashion, lets see who shines tonight!

Spring Into Fashion...
Seeing these runway shots on WWD.com has made me super anxious for the upcoming Spring 2010 Mara Hoffman line. I love how season after season they come out with these amazingly beautiful prints that bring you to some far off land in the 70's. Currently I only have a few pieces but this line is definitely making me crave more and regret not buying a dress at the 75% off Planet Blue sale! I think the long flowing dresses would be absolutely perfect for some beachy vacation but versatile enough for a day of shopping in the summer and need to make their way into my wardrobe ASAP.

Just Another Manic Monday...
Today was the first day that I have seen the sun in about a week, I was beginning to think I might just be a vampire. Between the week of rain and working too many hours I was excited to sleep in and then wake up to the sun shining outside. I went to one of my favorite "go to" outfits which consists of this Patterson J Kincaid dress, the most comfortable footless tights and my Russell and Bromley boots. Patterson J Kincaid is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands with their ethnic prints, easy fitting clothes and decent prices. When I saw this dress online I was extremely apprehensive because it didn't look like anything more than a pretty printed potato sack on many of the models but when I saw it at Bloomingdales my opinion changed immediately. The rich jewel tone colors, comfortable fit, fun detailing and print make this one of my favorite dresses currently in my wardrobe.

Styled At SAG..
Another weekend another award show, isn't that what January is all about? The SAG awards were on Saturday and I was more than pleased with the style on the red carpet, above are my picks for best dressed. Kate Hudson would be my number one pick, partially because she is one of my favorite style icons and partially because she looked hands down amazing! She dared to bare, her back that is in a dream white Pucci gown that fit her like a glove, and made her look like the glamorous movie star she is. I also adored Drew Barrymore's cobalt blue Monique Lhuillier number and I think her hair and makeup totally finished the look. I have to say that Marion Cotillard disappointed me at the Golden Globes but totally restored my faith in her red carpet style by wearing this one shouldered Elie Saab mini. I have to admit I totally have a weakness for the feather and sequin mixture but the shoes and hair made this look complete. This weekend will once again be a red carpet weekend when the Grammy's air on Sunday, I can't wait to see who will wear what!

Living My Life Like It's Golden...
Awards season began last Sunday and despite the rainy day in Los Angeles there were a few attendees who still shined in their dress choices. When I first saw Emily Blunt in the etherial pink Dolce & Gabanna gown I knew she had to be on my best dressed list. Since her breakout role in "The Devil Wears Prada" she has consistently dressed to impress and I can't wait to see what else she has lined up during this season. Another favorite of mine was Penelope Cruz, honestly there is no better way to describe her look here other than pure glamour. She looked absolutely stunning in her Armani number, but honestly I don't think there is many a time when she doesn't outshine others on the red carpet. I was a bit upset that she didn't pick up any awards for her performance in "NINE" because I thought she was amazingly charming and sexy in that role, well there are always more awards shows I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for her! Zoe Saldana to me was my breakout out fashion winner of the night. I adored her burgundy colored Louis Vuitton dress and thought she wore it well. I didn't see her on the red carpet but when she walked out on stage to hand out an award I was struck by how fabulous she looked. I still have not see "Avatar" but it's on my list for the next week! The Screen Actor Guild Awards are this Saturday and I can't wait to see what the stylists have up their sleeves for that red carpet.

Easy Like Sunday Morning...
There is something I just love about getting up early on a Sunday, grabbing coffee and heading off to a flea market. Maybe it's the excitement of never knowing what treasures you may find, seeing something that you have looked forever to find or just my love of looking at cool old items. Last Sunday I went to one of my favorite flea markets and had an amazing day. I pulled out one of my favorite vintage t's for the occasion, this t epitomizes everything I love about wearing vintage with it's haphazard holes and worn in to perfection. My first stop was at my favorite jewelry vendor whose pieces range from ethnic beaded necklaces, gold and silver bangles and my personal favorite, bulky costume jewelry. I ended up picking up two necklaces and a pair of earrings which fit perfectly into my eclectic mix of accessories. I have been looking for a bigger "statement" cross necklace for some time now and was thrilled to find this piece. The rhinestone snake pendant is freakishly similar to a Kenneth Jay Lane one I wanted on Shopbop around Christmas time but never pulled the trigger on, and I thought the earrings would be a great classic look for an upcoming wedding I have in the Spring with a perfect little black dress for a Parisian look.

OverDyed
It was nothing short of another beautiful day today in LA and I thought it would be a great day to break out my new t. I saw this shirt at Planet Blue and immediately knew it had to be mine, with it's sheer, tie dyed, slouchiness perfection. I am always on the hunt for "the perfect t" as I am sure almost every girl out there is, and today this one fits the bill.

J'Adore Isabel Marant...
A twinge of jealously came over me this week as I heard the news that Isabel Marant will be opening their first US boutique this February in New York City on Greene Street, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one will open on the West Coast soon. When the new Spring 2010 collection launched I think I immediately fell in love. The new collection is such an eclectic mix of tie dye, lurex, feathers and embellished boots which are a few of my favorite things! I am loving how different this line is from the drab menswear inspired Winter collection and can't wait til it hits stores.
Hello CyberSpace...
I have talked about starting my own blog since my boyfriend started his, over a year ago but I never have until today. Maybe I haven't because it is intimidating to have to update and keep peoples interest, or maybe because I am afraid I won't have enough time to dedicate and update, I'm not sure. It sounds cliche but when the new year started I decided it was time to share my love of vintage, fashion, cooking and day to day life with others and stop making excuses, enjoy.
