Weekender At Bernies...
Remember when I posted here about my obsession with anything Ralph Lauren makes with a navajo print? Well let me introduce you to my newest purchase... the RL Beacon Weekender. I saw this bag back before Christmas and have been waiting for it to go on sale since it's original price tag was a hefty $900. I was excited to find one during the winter sale and it's size is absolutely perfect and fits a lot more than I originally thought it would. I'm already planning on using it for an upcoming trip to Palm Springs but for now it's resting in my closet with my other navajo pieces.

Can I Get A Sample...
One of my favorite things about moving to LA has been sample sales. They were like an urban legend when I lived back east and I always imagined what they must be like. Well low and behold now that I'm a West Coast transplant I live for a good sample sale and the Patterson J. Kincaid event fulfilled my slight obsession with mini muu-muu's in bright prints.

All White Everything...
How amazing is this shoot with Constance Jablonski in the February issue of Spanish Vogue. I'm obsessed with the lace dress (Dolce & Gabanna) and fringe maxi (Mark Fast) in the first set and I love how they styled the Isabel Marant fish net tank I posted here from her runway show.

Feeling Blue...
Let me preface this post by saying don't mind the random trash bins, I thought they looked cool since they matched my ring! Today I was in the mood to break out the YSL iconic arty ring my Mom gave me for Christmas and Joie top I scored at their warehouse sale for the first time. On my drive home I loved the way the sky looked like cotton candy matched up against the black palm tree silhouettes so I snapped this pic, sorry to any East Coasters who may be seeing this picture while trapped in the snow.

Scarf(ace)...
My scarf collection was already outgrowing the space I currently house them in, and now I have two more to add! I was super psyched to find both of these while out thrifting this week. The first for it's red, white and blue print and huge versatile size, and the other is amazing with it's bright 70's peasant print.

Golden Girls...
My nominees for best dressed at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards:
Amy Adams in Marchesa, Angelina Jolie in Versace, January Jones in Versace, Dianna Agron in J. Mendel, Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Prive and Emma Stone in Calvin Klein. I loved the polar opposites on the red carpet today with everyone seemingly choosing a bright jewel tone or nudes for their dresses, who was your favorite?

Some favorites out of the new Planet Blue Lookbook "Urban Southwest" featuring clothing from As Is. I already ordered the tunic in the last picture and can't wait til it arrives!

After Winter Must Come Spring...
Isabel Marant continues her run in creating line after line of obsession worthy clothes and shoes with her latest collection. Spring 2011 was inspired by a trip she took to Los Angeles and the free spirit, skateboarding culture she saw while in the city. Above are my favorite looks from the the show, with my absolute must haves being the quilted red jacket, electric blue lace dress and red printed tunic with netting layered underneath.

Fringe with Benefits...
I have a small obsession with Isabel Marant and I fell in love with these Badel boots the moment I laid eyes on them...too bad they had already sold out everywhere! After searching far and wide I was finally able to track a pair down on eBay and my boyfriend got them for me as a belated Christmas present. I'm so happy to finally be able to check these ones off the list!

It's Always Sunny In Los Angeles...
70 and sunny in January you really can't beat the weather in LA. With the weather cooperating I thought it was the perfect day to break out this sweater my boyfriend gifted me for my birthday. I'm pretty obsessed with anything Ralph Lauren makes in navajo print and he always seems to mix the right amount of rugged americana with intricate details, what can I say, the man is genius!
What I'm Wearing:
Ralph Lauren Beacon Sweater, Blue Life Best Bum Shirt, BDG Grazer Jeans, Zara Boots, Vintage Agate Necklace, Ray Ban Aviators

Land of the Free...
Some of my favorite looks from the January 2011 Free People Catalog. I love the overall romantic and breezy feel of these pictures, the styling is on point and it's almost like following around cool girls in Paris. I'll let the photos speak for themselves, but I can't wait to get my copy in the mail and see the entire collection.

Thriftin' Ain't Easy...
So it looks like the blog gods saw my post the other day because I was out at the thrift stores and got this Winter Kate Himalaya jacket at 90% off. I also found this amazingly purple vintage Chanel gold chain scarf, I already have a few of these and think every girl needs at least one in her closet.

Roses are red, Planets are BLUE...
Today was the start of the annual 75% off sale at Planet Blue in Beverly Hills. I stopped by this morning to check it out since Planet Blue is one of my favorite stores in LA. They had a large selection of dresses, jeans and tops from various designers including in house brands Blue Life and Blu Moon. After trying on a bunch of items I ultimately decided on this leopard print "Almost Famous" skirt. I was really excited to score this skirt for $35, I had admired it on many occasions but could never bring myself to purchase it and full price. I already have a few outfits in mind and I can't wait to wear them! If you are the LA area stop by, the store is located at 409 N. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills.

The Dalai Llama...
I've been thrifting for over ten years, and every time I make a trip back home I always make it a priority to go to the spots I used to frequent every week. On my last trip home a couple of months ago I found this sweater and I couldn't have been more thrilled. It's perfect fit, cozy feel and killer print made it a no brainer and it's become a favorite in my closet.

Spring Showers Bring May Flowers...
A few of my favorite looks from the upcoming Winter Kate collection. Nicole always does a great job at keeping the silhouettes simple and making at least 3-4 pieces I want hanging in my closet. The middle kimono is my number one pick although it freakishly resembles a Blue Life burnout velvet number I got last spring, but can a girl really have too many fringe kimonos?

New Year, New Boots...
When I saw these boots on sale at Shopbop I was immediately thrilled and even happier when I saw them offering extra 20% off sale and free overnight shipping! These boots are even better than I imagined they are the perfect ankle height and super comfortable too!
What I'm Wearing:
Vintage Fur Jacket, Zara Dress, Jeffrey Campbell Nation Studded Boots, Vintage Chanel Bag
