I've always been in love with LA landmarks, especially the Hollywood sign so when I saw the new J. Crew ad campaign you can imagine I was smitten. They shot all over town and even after gaining the permits to shoot at the Hollywood sign, the police still arrived at the scene because they thought they were trespassing!
