unBEARable...

My boyfriend collects Kaws Bearbricks and I'm in love with anything Missoni, so when I saw this one back in 2007 I desperatly wanted it. Come to find out there was only one made and it was for a charity auction in Hong Kong, which was a major disappointment. Whoever the lucky winner was, if you ever get tired of looking at it I will gladly take it off your hands!

Everything is better in Missoni...

Even Pellegrino. Picked these at my local Cost Plus World Market...I'm obsessed!

Flea Market Finds...

I'm not ashamed to admit that my heart has a weak spot for flea markets and thrift stores. There is something that gets me amped up to think what sort of vintage treasures I might be able to find at any given time to take home, add to my collection and cherish. My last trip to the flea market was no exception as I think I may have found the most vintage necklaces in one trip ever. I love how they are all so different ranging from dancing indians flanked with turquoise, to a rosary-esque white and gold number, a painted scene on a cameo and a green stone ankh. Whenever I say I need some more vintage jewelry to add to my increasing collection my boyfriend think I'm crazy, but honestly each piece I find is so different and it's fun to think of the stories behind them. One day I'll have to take a picture of my entire collection, but until then I'll just keep adding to it!

Before we moved cross country my boyfriend and I used to take all our "vacation" time to come out to LA and visit, so we haven't gone on what I call a real vacation in quite some time. Lucky for us that our birthdays fall about a week apart and this year we decided to go away on a birthday vacation. It was the first time either of us had been to Hawaii but it definitely won't be the last, our first stop was Oahu where we stayed at the Waikiki Edition which was newly opened and gorgeous. With Ian Schrager behind the white and airy beach house feel and an amazing signature scent infused throughout the entire property I knew I had picked the right hotel. I also became obsessed with the hipstamatic on my iphone during this trip and took a zillion pictures with the amazing app, enjoy!

Trick or TREAT...

Whenever I go to a friends house or to a party I always feel the need to bring some sort of treat for everyone. Going to a Halloween party over the weekend was no exception and it provided me with the perfect opportunity to use the Halloween rings and sprinkles I got a couple of weeks ago. Even though I cheated and made the vanilla cupcakes from a box, I redeemed myself and made the buttercream frosting from scratch with my favorite recipe found here. Needless to say they were a huge hit and gone quickly, so I was happy I kept a few stashed at home for the next day, do I even have to mention I have a HUGE sweet tooth?
