Neon Trees...

Ughhhhhh....obsessed with the new Planet Blue lookbook probably because it focuses on some of my weaknesses, Mara Hoffman swim, neon and Missoni. I love a good neon for resort/summer and the AG skinnies in the last pic are calling my name. Seeing this lookbook and the new Christopher Kane x J Brand has made me realize there's totally a reason why I've been holding on to my neon denim jacket for all these years, just might have to break that baby out!

I Love Waffles...

I love watching "Best Thing I Ever Ate" on Food Network and after seeing Susan Feniger rave about The Waffle in Hollywood it jumped up to the top of my list. My boyfriend and I ventured over on a sunny LA day and ended up sitting outside which was awesome, can it get any better than a side of sunshine with breakfast? I ordered the Red Velvet and he ended up getting the Sticky Bun and they were both amazing...the Red Velvet definitely will give you a sugar rush but is worth it 100%. I'll totally go back again, and as a little tip try to go during the week if you can as I hear the wait on the weekends can be brutal.

Fall hasn't even begun here in LA and already I'm obsessed with Isabel Marant's spring/summer '12 line. Above are my favorite looks and I'm pretty sure something tie-dye and the pink patchwork dress and flannel combo will definitely be making an appearance in my closet. I was shocked not to see any boots on the runway since those are always swoon-worthy, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled to see what else Madame Marant has up her sleeve.

So Vuitton SS 2012 opens with a live carousel full of models and you think, there's no way this could get any better...and then Kate Moss makes her only runway appearance and closes the show looking amazing as always!

The Extraterrestrial Gem...

So in love with this Chanel nail polish after trying it out for the first time this weekend. I had wondered if it would have the same metallic, color changing effect on my nails as it did in the bottle and I was mesmerized with the final product, I may have to go out and grab the Graphite version as well!

Stevie Nicks...

I randomly caught the "Hard Rock Calling" concert from Hyde Park in London on tv this morning with an amazing lineup of some of my favorites. Stevie Nicks was seriously awesome, I've always been a fan of her and Fleetwood Mac but her performance during the concert amazed me, she still rocks it and has such a unique voice, if you come across this on tv definitely tune in!

Beachwood BBQ...

Remember when I posted about the BBQ joint I've been meaning to try since July...well this is it, Beachwood BBQ in Long Beach. The owners just opened this location after many years of success in Seal Beach, and they also use this location to brew their own beer.

I'm not a big beer drinker but after looking at the selection on the wall I couldn't help but pick one, and decided on Dogfish Head Punkin ale. I was super psyched to find out they serve half pours (6oz)...SCORE and the beer was really good...DOUBLE SCORE! I was going to go for the pulled chicken but when I saw that the sandwich version was served on a pretzel roll I had to order it, I've never tried one, but thought it sounded amazing. I'm glad that I took a chance as it was the perfect match to the bbq pulled chicken and something crave-worthy in the future. Overall, my boyfriend and I left happy and we will definitely make the trip down again whenever we feel the need for some good BBQ and beer.

A Day of Chambray...

My boyfriend and I finally ventured to Long Beach to try a BBQ joint we've been meaning to try since July. While we were walking back to our car I spotted this seafoam green painted wall of an abandoned building and made him snap a few pics. It's starting to feel a bit more like fall here and I'm loving it.

Urth Day..

Mondays just got a bit better if you live in LA and love Urth Caffe like I do. I went to the Beverly Drive location today and saw that they are offering 50% off coffee, espresso and tea Mondays from 6-11am, not sure if the others are participating as well but I know I'll be visiting come Monday.

Obsession...Balmain Resort 2012

I can't get over how amazing Natasha Poly and Anja Rubik looked at Gucci's Fashion Night Out in Paris. Anja is hands down my pick for best dressed from FNO with her entire look from Balmain, but the booties....AGH those booties!!! They have now taken over the #1 spot on my wish/want list and I'm thinking I probably don't want to know how much they cost, but I know they need to make their way into my closet regardless and if the dress version of Anja's skirt appeared in there too I wouldn't be mad...

Boot Camp...

I was so excited for my Isabel Marant boots to arrive after what seemed like forever! I've been patiently waiting for the fall boots to come out since the spring version sold out months ago. They are seriously the most comfortable boots I own, is it crazy that I'm already wanting to purchase them in black too?

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner...

Each holiday weekend it seems like everyone flees LA leaving it feeling like a ghost town. For me it's a treat to be able to drive around without traffic and try out new places that usually have a wait. I've been wanting to try BLD for breakfast although the line of people waiting on the weekends usually makes me rethink that choice, but this weekend is a different story with plenty of open tables and no wait. I ended up deciding on a blueberry ricotta pancake and brûléed grapefruit, and I loved the way they serve up the maple syrup in little tin cabins. I'll definitely be returning to breakfast at BLD although I may have to wait for the next holiday weekend to avoid a wait again.

Sneak Peak...

New images via Vogue of the highly anticipated Missoni x Target collaboration...I cannot wait!!!! How awesome is the Missoni clan for not comprising on quality such as making the vases and trays ceramic instead of plastic like past collaborations have done. The entire line is going to have something crazy like 400 items and I'm pretty sure I will want to buy at least 398 of them, I'm getting my tent and sleeping bag ready right now.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pie...

I decided to take advantage of strawberry season and attempt to make a strawberry pie for the first time. I found this recipe online and altered it a bit by adding melted semi-sweet chocolate to the pie crust to prevent the pie from getting too soggy and reducing the amount of sugar added to the mashed strawberry mixture. The results were better than I imagined and made for a perfect summer dessert.

I loved the entire LA editorial in the August Paris Vogue, especially this shot. I was a bit unsure about this Isabel Marant feather print sweatshirt but the more I see it the quicker it's moving up on my Fall wish list.

Pink Is My Favorite Color...

Like most of the country it was about 1 million degrees over the weekend, even 3 blocks away from the ocean which is where these pictures were taken. My boyfriend was taunting me during taking pictures hence the face in the first photo, I think the heat was getting to him too. I decided to keep it simple with these jean shorts and boots I've been living in lately because they seem to go with everything in my wardrobe and the boots have a perfect heel height making them super comfortable.
